Artist Statement:
My artwork looks like a cartoon version of me , or so for the most part that's what its supposed to look like. The subject matter of my artwork was global warming but I had to change it around to make it into my own artwork, so for the most part at this moment it doesn't have a subject matter. I personally don't have a title for my artwork at this particular moment, so i just call it Global Warming Recreation. I would say the most obvious elements or principles would be my hair and skin tone in my artwork. To create my artwork I used a black marker to highlight the key points being that i had to paint over them, I also used different colors of tempera paint, after I let it dry I went back and did an ink wash to bring out the details that I painted over such as the eyes, lips, nose and etc. Shepard Fairey inspired my artwork. I'm quite frankly not sure what my artwork represents. I didn't really try to show emotions in my artwork. My goals as an artist is to just explore different things , such as different tools , different artists, and different approaches on my artworks. My artwork did somewhat help me reach my goal. It helped me explore a different artist, and different approaches. With this artwork I learned that drawing hands is very difficult! I guess you can say the finished piece is how I imagined it , I just wish i could have added more things to it, but unfortunately i could not.
